About

Hi, I'm Sarah. Nice to meet you!

I live in Seattle, Washington. I'm not sure where life is taking me, but I do know is that I learn something new every day. Sometimes, it's a huge, epiphany-sized lesson. Sometimes, it's a tiny realization that I hardly notice before it passes by. But whatever lesson the day brings, it always has value and should be remembered.

When I decided to start this blog, I did it because of an assignment given to me by my 10th grade English teacher years ago. The assignment was to make a list of 100 things I'd learned so far in my life. I can remember getting to about number fifteen before becoming frustrated and thinking the assignment was ridiculous. But then, something happened... I started to realize that the lessons didn't have to be huge, life changing things. They could be small things, too. My list grew.

I don't remember how long it took me to get all the way to 100, but I do remember that I actually enjoyed getting there and recalling all the things I knew. It felt good to recognize my successes and failures, and share them with someone in a simple way.

I wanted to do that here, with all of you. But a list just wasn't going to cut it. So, I upgraded a bit and decided to make a visual to go with each of the "lessons" (for lack of a better word). It's just a way for me to get the visual in my head down on paper, and share it with all of you.

The best part of this is that not only do I get to express the things I've learned in my life, but you can also share what you've learned with me. They can be funny, sad, reflective, inspiring, happy... whatever! I don't think we ever stop learning, and I'll be the first to admit that I'm nowhere close to knowing all the universe has to teach me. But I bet some of you are closer than I am!

My plan: updates/new posts several times a week. I'd love to hear from anyone with suggestions, comments, questions, or lessons of your own. I'll always ask before I use a lesson you send me, and I'll always give you credit (unless you prefer anonymity). However, I do reserve the right to use my creative license and play with the writing.

Thank you so much for visiting me here! I do hope you'll keep in touch and keep coming back!

Loves,
Sarah
